Coach Rick Slifkin – USAT Level I

USA Triathlon Certified Coach Rick Slifkin lives in south Florida and has been racing competitively in triathlons since 1999, after initially starting in the sport of duathlon in the mid 1980s.  Coach Rick was coached early in his career by two of the greats in the sport, Jeff Devlin and Ken Glah. He learned a tremendous amount from both coaches and improved dramatically under their guidance. For the past 10 years, Coach Rick has been successfully coaching athletes to overall and podium finishes and is considered one of the top best cycling coaches in Florida.  Some highlights of Rick Slifkin’s career:

  • Competed in close to 100 multisport events
  • Competed in duathlon (called biathlon in the 80’s!) since 1986 and triathlon since 1999
  • Numerous age group wins and overall podium finishes
  • Consistently has top bike split in most of his races
  • 3 time Ironman
  • Overall Winner of the 2007 Multirace South Florida Triathlon Series
  • Overall winner 2008 Singer Island Triathlon Trilogy
  • Solo Unsupported Charity Ride from Jacksonville to Key West in 2013
  • Crew Chief for Scott D’Angelo at Furnace Creek 508 in 2013
